Today, I address you with mixed emotions. On one hand, I feel profound gratitude as I reflect on the journey we have traveled together. On the other, I feel a deep sense of confidence knowing that our institution is strong, thriving, and well positioned for the future.
As of August, my chapter as Rector of Rochat School of Business comes to an end.
When we launched this project in 2018, we did so with a clear conviction: to create a business school capable of providing access to high-quality education for individuals determined to build a better future for themselves, their families, their organizations, and their communities. Since then, I have had the privilege of witnessing the birth, growth, and consolidation of an institution that today is home to a vibrant community of students, alumni, faculty members, staff, and partners committed to lifelong learning and responsible leadership.
None of this would have been possible without you.
To our students, thank you for trusting Rochat as a partner in your professional and personal growth. Every degree earned, every promotion achieved, every milestone reached, and every new venture launched represents the very reason our institution exists.
To our faculty, thank you for sharing your experience, expertise, and dedication. Your commitment has been essential in preparing leaders capable of creating meaningful value within their organizations and society.
To our alumni, thank you for becoming ambassadors of our mission. You embody the impact that education can have when combined with perseverance, discipline, and vision.
To our staff, partners, and members of the broader community, thank you for believing in this project from its earliest days and for helping us build an institution that today serves hundreds of professionals across industries and regions.
I leave this role with immense pride in what we have built together. More importantly, I do so with the peace of mind that comes from knowing Rochat’s future is in excellent hands.
It is my pleasure to share that Diana Ramos will assume leadership of our academic activities and the strategic direction of the institution. Diana brings the experience, capability, and commitment necessary to continue advancing the mission that has guided us since day one. I am confident that under her leadership, Rochat will continue to innovate, grow, and expand its positive impact on the lives of our students and community.
Great institutions transcend individuals. They endure because of their values, their purpose, and the communities that sustain them. While I am closing an important chapter in my professional life, my confidence in Rochat’s future has never been stronger.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of this extraordinary story from the very beginning. Thank you for the conversations, the lessons, the challenges we overcame together, and the achievements we celebrated along the way.
I leave with gratitude, pride, and the certainty that the best is yet to come for Rochat School of Business.
